Gah. This manga. It is so cute.
It does not require pink sparkly hearts or the use of standard moe-blob formulas.
All it needs is an exuberant five year-old girl who is totally ignorant of the world around her. Then funny antics ensue as she discovers even the most normal of things.
Both this and Azumanga Daioh makes Kiyohiko Azuma my second favorite author, right next to Eiichiro Oda.
Ena Ayase would be my favorite character in this series because she's a great fisher.
And is more tomboyish than she appears to be.
Which is ironic because her friend Miura, who looks like a tomboy, tends to be more girly.

On a related note, I actually first saw this manga a few years ago back in middle school during a book fair. It was the only manga they were selling besides Slam Dunk. I actually
didn't buy it since I was more into action series back then.
Biggest mistake in my manga history. D;
