I really like the shading of the picture. Also, I really love how the weapon was drawn out! Splendid drawing!

What kind of paper...? looks semi-crinkly and like rubbed with pencil shavings.

Hey guys, my FIRST ever vectoring and coloring of one of my drawings! :'D

It took about three and a half days total. (I'm lazy like that.)

The shading is pretty sloppy, I was kind of rushing through at that point. >__>

Yo, since there's no writing section, I'll just post this in my artist thread, since visual art and written literature are too similar to be separated. I wrote a section of a story I'm writing.

If you know about one of the manga ideas that were proposed, mine was about a girl named Amaria and her cousin, with a name change to Cole, separated in a vast city. And Amaria ends up joining a mafia family, believing that Cole was killed by an opposing family.

This written story takes the perspective of Terrace Deppelin, a fellow mafia member of Amaria and also her lover. He takes the place as the "spectator", only watching and narrating the happenings in front of him.

This specific section takes place five years after the beginning of the story.

A little something I whipped up with my basic knowledge of Photoshop. The second image actually took less work than the first.

The drawings themselves aren't by me, obviously.
I consider editing a form of art, so I think this fits.

Presenting: Yukiko Amagi, my favoritest character from Persona 4.

It was surprisingly difficult to find any suitable fan art, being overshadowed by Chie and Rise. I can understand Rise. But CHIE. Seriously? Pfft. Well, enough ranting.

Today I drew my new favorite Final Boss, Izanami of Persona 4 AKA the goddess of creation and death directly based on Japanese myth.

However, I drew it from reference, so not much of my actual skill was involved.

Today I drew a two-part series of drawings. I was inspired to draw them after playing Kana Little Sister (so depressing T-T).

- Sunset in the Ward -

Here, a faceless girl sits alone on a bed, looking at the setting sun through the single paned window. Her literally blank face constitutes a melancholy mood. And rather continuing to sleep or getting up from bed, the girl simply sits and watches the sun set. I tried to instill a sense of loneliness in the girl. Her room is also dark, with the only two sources of light coming from the sun and the other coming from the open door.

- Evening in the Ward -

And following up that drawing, this one takes place a few hours later. The girl leans on a young man, presumably her boyfriend, as they both face in the direction of the night sky through the window, looking at a single star in the distance; a quiet and more romantic setting. The room is mainly unchanged (the pillows are different, too lazy to fix), yet the moods of the two drawings are completely different.

And if you're going to ask if they're going to do it, no they're not. Just thinking that kinda ruins the mood of the drawing.
Heck, I probably shouldn't have mentioned it in the first place.

My latest coloring, the ever adorable Tae Kojima from GANTZ.

Pretty plain, eh? I felt that I could've done more with her hair, but I had a power surge in the middle of coloring, and I had to color her all over again, so I just did the basics as doing how I did before would make me rage.

Whoa. I like your edited PS images. Where do you get your stock photos? Were they originally vector images?

and Tae is naked O.o

It's a scan from a Gantz chapter, I lined it and colored it all in PS. And yes, Tae is indeed apparently naked.

While I'm at it, I'll post another color I did recently.

Yuu Enomoto from Hatsukoi Limited.

Yo, so after a month or two of artist block and/or lack of motivation, I finally got my flow back and I'm drawing like crazy again.

I feel after each period of block, I somehow improve a bit.

It used to be fine and dandy until I noticed her right arm was shorter than her left.
Then, I erased and redrew, easy enough, right? Wrong.

I kept on getting one arm wrong, and ended up erasing and redrawing the other. I gave up, and her left arm is still fatter than her right, so I just cropped it out when I scanned it.

The rest is a bit sloppy, since I was quick sketching during Spanish. (That's actually the back of a practice quiz right there.)

I got frustrated at her entire left side, so I just redrew it as a simpler design, although I neglected to make it better since my neck started to ache. Whatever, good enough, I suppose.

Can definitely see improvement from your past drawings. Hair and dagger look pretty spiffy to me

Keep up the good work (o.o)b

Eh, maybe not. I think my artist block came back. D;
I guess that was a nice two weeks of a creativity surge while it lasted.
