Doesn't the ring work instantaneously? Plus if Flash runs straight at him them he'll just have to generate the field in front of him so Flash runs into it.

Idk, from what I've seen, it takes a quick moment to construct objects and fields from the ring. And a quick moment to us can be an eternity for the Flash if he wishes to.

And depending on the willpower of Lantern, Flash can break the field with brute force.

Oh, and speaking of Green Lanterns, Kyle Rayner when fused with Ion could defeat Flash, since he practically is God at that point and can bend reality/time/energy to his whim.

And I'll add another godmodder, Dark Schneider from Bastard, as explained by one of my friends.
