PostSubject: Arena Rules   Sat Jun 28, 2008 11:56 pm

Here in the Arena, everything must be titled accordingly.

Something vs Something

As an example: Red vs Blue would be an acceptable title, or Red versus Blue

Everything inside the arena is a discussion, or a debate, about only the topics brought up. You can bring outside information in to discuss your case, but overall, everything must go back to the two main topics.

All other rules of the forum still apply here.

This is just for lively discussions and debates, so please don't abuse this and flame other users for their opinions.

Polls would be something that are very welcome here, as this is an 'arena.' Topics are pitted against one another.

As an addendum to the first rule, not everything has to be versus, but it should be that or an acceptable question.

An example: What's the best color?
-If given something like this, where a lot of answers are plausible, a delimiter will have to be set. This can be done by a certain phrase, or by listing what can be used.

Example: Primary colors or red, yellow, and blue

A lively debate could be sparked up about that. Why it's the best, what makes it the best color, etc. Hopefully, though, our debator interests will go on farther and beyond something so simple.

A question where the answers are limited would be:
Who do you think Tamaki's voice actor will be?
-This question, if you know the show (Ouron High School Host Club), can be easily thought out. Funimation has bought the rights to the English version, so only a few people could possibly even be given the role.

To further clarify the flaming rule point, though, if you are caught blaming someone or flamming someone in any way, shape, or form, you will be punished. This rule is strictly in affect here.
